# holiday # istanbul transit

Istanbul: Kadıköye

With 5 hours of transit time, we decided to hit Istanbul town. We wanted to go to the now famous Taksim Square but because if the rush hour we decided against it and went someplace nearer; Kadıköye which is popular among tourists and transiting tourists. It's close to the sea and there is a ferry service that brings you around and about. There are plenty of small boutique shops, tea cafes, coffee shops, knick knack shops, banks, money changers and pet shops here for you to pass your time people watching while enjoying a cuppa

It was indeed very relaxing and I really wanted to come back to Istanbul; with more time in my hands

The town of Kadikoy

The cute tea shop

A typical Turkish tea is served with a glass of water and a piece of Turkish delight. The tea itself has no sugar in it and is very karak
